Completed dash board shows the necessary gauges and switches to operate the Rolls Merlin engine. Missing is the Nitrous Oxide button on the steering wheel which will soon be attached.
Jim Harvey saved several of the two-bladed propellers originally used on the boat . This particular prop was used when Chip Hanauer set a course record.

The finished Atlas is shined up for the annual Museum Christmas party. Besides waiting for the final engine installation, the custom upholstery for the seat and cockpit are a few of the final items to be added.
The '82 Atlas sits on display at the Christmas party across from it's arch rival, the beautifully restored 1980 Griffon Miss Budweiser.
Chip Hanauer was the special guest speaker at the annual Museum party. Chip recounted several memories driving one of his favorite hydroplanes, the '82 Atlas. 
Under special lighting, the Atlas was aglow at the Museum Christmas party.
